After all these researches, we completed the tests of the Age Of Empires Mobile game and started to focus on Suleiman the Magnificent, our historical hero, who is also featured in the game. While working on the basic positioning of the game, we investigated what kind of strategy we should determine by digging deep into our culture. Considering that the target audience and age range of Age Of Empires Mobile, which offers a new experience for young players and a nostalgic journey for experienced players at the same time, appeals to players of almost all ages, we knew that it would not be easy to come up with an idea that would appeal to everyone and attract the attention of players of all ages.

We analyzed the words of Suleiman the Magnificent, researched what he said, when he said it and why he said it, examined games such as mangala and chess, which were an important part of the Ottoman period, and determined their contribution to our culture. In the light of all this, we first prepared the positioning of the film and our promotion;

“CONQUERING IS IN OUR BLOOD!”

So why did we start from here? “It’s in our blood” is a common phrase that we have always used from the past to the present, reflecting deep-rooted traits and traditions passed down through generations. The Ottoman Giants and Sultans have always been characterized by courage, determination, strength and conquest. The noble blood that runs through the veins of the Turkish nation carries the legacy of heroes who have written epics throughout history. This is precisely why we chose this positioning, as we believe it strongly captures the essence of both Age Of Empires Mobile and its players. “Conquest is in our blood!” emphasizes the deep historical roots at the heart of Age of Empires and its relentless drive for expansion and conquest.

AGE OF EMPIRES MOBILE COMMERCIAL SCRIPT

When we were writing our script, we placed Suleiman the Magnificent at the center of the script, which was our main positioning and the one we needed to highlight. We wanted the main subject of the film to be Suleiman the Magnificent and to always remain there. That’s why we built our story on a fictional time travel. We combined two different periods of Suleiman the Magnificent. Young Suleiman (in the film, we named him Yavuz’s Legacy) is on his way to rise in the empire, while the mature and experienced Suleiman appears as a strong leader at the top of the empire. With the combination of these two periods, we emphasized the motto “We are One – Suleiman the Magnificent” and “Conquering is in our blood”.

Throughout the movie, we emphasized the leadership skills of Suleiman the Magnificent and the power of the Ottoman Empire. We tried to create a visually and emotionally impressive story with striking scenes that imply that the young and the mature Suleiman the Magnificent are the same person. In particular, we created a mysterious and fascinating atmosphere throughout the movie, inviting our viewers to an adventure full of strategy. We also showed the features of the game as if they were part of the story throughout the movie, without spoiling the mood of the movie.

Instead of the crescent and 8-pointed star, which was the Ottoman banner of the period, we used green and 3 crescents on red; since our story takes place in an alternate reality where a cosmic event takes place and the young Suleiman and the mature Suleiman come together, the design of three crescents on a green background symbolizes the growth, expansion and rise of the Ottoman Empire during Suleiman’s youth. The red symbolizes Turkey. This flag allowed us to creatively use powerful symbols of the Ottoman Empire to fit the fictional structure of our story. In fact, we used this flag as a symbol that sheds light on the future of the Ottoman Empire and the present.

Our leading actors in our movie were famous influencers Barş G and Kayzer. We worked with both of them because of their suitability for the target audience and age group, and because we believe that they will carry our movie visually and audibly, and we were very pleased with the results.
